Die 36. Auflage der Rallye Dakar führt über rund 9000 Kilometern durch Sand und Staub. Auf der fünften Etappe verpasste das Toyota-Team mit einem deutschen Co-Piloten knapp den Tagessieg. Am 17. Januar endet das Rennen in der argentinischen Hauptstadt Buenos Aires.
